Poetry Corner – The Big Bang

The Big Bang

Everything existed in the beginning

infinitesimally small

Boundlessly projecting itself

across a blank void

Weaving the matrix

Simultaneously creating

and destroying everything in its path

Affecting the past

Manifesting the future

Riding the arrow of time

into infinity

Leaving us in its wake

like a desert mirage

Nothing exists

it's only the light we see,

how it used to be

Look on the bright side

carpe diem!

Poetry Corner – Blackhole

Blackhole
A collection of short poems inspired by The Universe

maxresdefault

Blackhole

Trapped inside a blackhole

All time has stopped

Yet somehow it keeps moving forward without me

Leaving only a memory

far in the past

Space

I feel nothing

Only a void inside

Empty, vacuous space

My heart the dying remnants

of a once bright star

Time

Time is measured by centuries

We only live a single second

Like the tick of a clock

A grain of sand

Falling through an hourglass

self-reflection

ReflectionnoitcelfeR

*All this time

because I never understood myself

All this stress because I never took the time to reflect

All this confusion because I never understood myself

All this depression because I never made a decision

All this pain because I never reevaluated my life

All this anxiety because I never realized

*Repeat

Poetry Corner – Deadline

Deadline

I’m not tired
but I’m not awake
I close my eyes wanting to
shut out everything and focus
But I fall asleep once again
 behind schedule
Day's gone

 When I’m asleep
deadline's drift away
like sand in an ocean breeze
Pray I don't wake up, to stay in limbo
Awoken again by the greed of day
I feel the instant deadline of
life waiting

Poetry Corner – Time

Time

Time
has no purpose
no start, no end
perpetually repeating itself
at an ever faster rate
so fast it makes clocks spin
knocking atoms along
rushing into the future
forgetting the past
rendering the future
obsolete
